Declare are a specialist team of IT industry professionals providing marketing, sales enablement and customer engagement services to B2B technology vendors. To help you understand more about us, here’s our story ….

Declare Communications Ltd was founded in 1997 by Don Fernandez and Clarissa Roberts (now Fernandez!).  Back then the world of B2B technology marketing and sales was changing fast.  The Internet, CRM systems, and e-mail were really starting to have an impact on how companies were re-thinking their marketing and sales approaches.

At that time, we were both working for the same company, a US-based software multi-national; Don headed up New Business Development in EMEA and Clarissa led EMEA marketing and communications.  We worked with a range of external vendors and agencies; PR, advertising, direct marketing, design & production, sales training, channel development.

To help us meet the changing needs of our customers we needed to take the company’s sales and marketing efforts on to the next level. We needed to find a company that understood and focused on how the very technology we were marketing and selling was radically changing the way companies were managing their operations and conducting business with their customers. We knew we needed a company with expertise in integrated digital marketing, sales enablement and communications in the B2B technology sector – but we just couldn’t find one!

In short, we couldn’t find the unique blend of business acumen, technology marketing and sales expertise we were looking for from a single source.  So, we set one up.  And that’s how Declare was founded.
